Convert any standard patient room
into a CDC qualified
negative pressure
infectious disease isolation room!

The Iso-Shield 800 and the wall mounted differential pressure monitoring system is a ready made kit that will allow you to quickly convert a standard patient room into an infectious disease isolation room.

It quickly and easily plumbs directly into the existing HVAC duct register inside the room.

It can be mounted in a false ceiling or rolled from room to room on it's castors. It features a keyed lockout, an ultra violet lamp, and features an easy to replace pre-filer, HEPA filter and UV tubes.

General description

The Iso-Shield 800 is a high quality, medical grade, portable air purifying system using HEPA filtration and optionally complemented by ultraviolet germicidal radiation.

It is designed to operate in a hospital or industrial environment where positive or negative air pressure is needed without delay. It can be stored with the optional castor wheels in place to be rapidly deployed when needed. The advantage this gives is flexibility. Isolation rooms can quickly and securely be made out of ordinary hospital rooms by wheeling the Safe Cell into the room. If more isolation rooms are needed on a permanent or semi permanent basis, this same Safe Cell can be mounted into the framework of a false ceiling and plumbed into the existing HVAC system.

Additionally the Iso-Shield 800 is capable of functioning in a air recirculation mode or in a non-recirculation mode for negative pressure isolation rooms. The amount of air that is recirculated is easily and infinitely adjustable by a vent on the side of the filter housing.

This filter is in compliance with applicable OSHA, CDC, JCHO requirements, guidelines, standards and/or recommendations.

Performance

The ASR-800i is capable of at least 800 cubic feet per minute (CFM). Due to the variable fan in the ASR-800i and the different requirements for air changes per hour required by different applications, the actual CFM that your application requires must be calculated.

To calculate the CFM requirements for your application, you need to know the room volume (length x width x height) in cubic feet and the required air changes per hour. Use this formula:

[room volume in cubic feet] times [required air changes per hour] divided by [60 minutes] equals [actual needed CFM required]

Here is an example for a 18 x 12 x 8 foot hospital room that requires 25 air changes per hour:

18 x 12 x 8 = 1728 cubic feet
[1728 cubic feet] x [25 air changes] = 33600 / 60 = 560 CFM

We also have a smaller filtration system made just for infectious disease isolation. It is called the Iso-Shield-120 Filtration System. Please click here for more information.
