Accessories

Optional NBC Upgrade kit
At any time in the future, you can upgrade your Iso-Shield-120 into a full Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical air filtration system. This kit includes everything shown above: a nuclear grade ASZM TEDA/NUKTK TEDA carbon adsorber, large side plates and bolts. ASZM-TEDA carbon is the only carbon media accepted by the US Military as effective for NBC protection.

Please note that by installing this kit, you will reduce the air output of your Safe Cell due to the added resistance of the carbon adsorber - in short, it will reduce the maximum size of the room that you use for a protected space. Keep this in mind when choosing your isolation room if you plan on upgrading your Iso-Shield-120 to a full NBC Safe Cell.

Optional external 12 volt blower
This blower can be instantly installed on the top of the Iso-Shield-120 and will allow you to maintain an overpressure in your safe room if the electrical power is interrupted. It features a slip-fit connection for simple installation.

Please note that you must have a charged 12 volt automotive type battery to operate this blower.

Optional emergency manual bellows
This hand-operated bellows will allow you to bring filtered air into your protected space in the event of a long term power outage. It instantly attaches to the top of the Iso-Shield-120.

Please note that you will not be able to maintain an overpressure with this bellows, but you will be able to replenish the oxygen supply in your shelter and displace the carbon dioxide that is created as the occupants exhale.

Protect your family from avian influenza (bird flu)

The CDC recommends that people who have contracted avian influenza should be placed in an infectious disease isolation room with 6 to 12 air changes per hour. We manufacture a high-end negative pressure infectious disease air filter called the Iso-Shield-800 for hospital use, and now, you can now have this same level of protection at an affordable price in your home!

The Iso-Shield 120 Safe Cell is a positive or negative pressure air filtration system designed to isolate a room from airborne pathogens. It's nuclear grade HEPA filter traps human or animal droplet nulcei (airborne body fluids) from any communicable disease, including H5N1 avian influenza (bird flu), tuberculosis, SARS, and anthrax.

Once set up in a room, you will have a protected space in your home that is overpressured to deny access to airborne pathogens that will enter through the cracks around doors or windows. If you have a family member that shows a bird flu symptom, you can turn that room into a negative pressure hospital grade isolation room in under a minute by switching the intake hose to the outflow connector on the Safe Cell.

Features

The centerpiece of every Safe Cell is the industrial grade, MIL-Spec high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter. We have these manufactured just for our application. They are light years beyond what you will find in an average consumer product. Please take a moment and read why we can make this claim:

This individual testing is what sets our HEPA filters apart from all other consumer grade room air filters that claim to have a "true HEPA filter." The testing is conducted using a forward light scattering photometer. The HEPA is challenged with 0.3 micrometer particles of dioctyl-phthalate (DOP). By measuring the upstream and downstream concentration of these particles, the HEPA filter cell efficiency can be calculated.

Also, these HEPA filters carry an Underwriters Laboratories Classification UL 586: This classification to insure that each HEPA filter cell is individually tested at the factory. Additionally, representative HEPA filter cells are tested by UL to ensure that they provide their rated HEPA level filtration, after being subjected to the following conditions of a high moisture environment of (90% R.H.), a high temperature environment of (371 deg/C), low temperature environment of (-3 deg/C). UL also subjects the HEPA filter cell to a spot flame test of 954 degrees Fahrenheit.

With airborne pathogens like avian influenza, SARS, and tuberculosis, why would you trust anything less?
